Kensley loves swimming and looks forward to her swim lessons every week. She has power legs and is an incredible kicker but the one thing the teacher always works on with her is scooping with her arms. I guess she realized she could still get from Point A to Point B with simply kicking. Needless to say I was determined to help. Fortunately, Olympic swimming matches were on TV the other day and I used it as a teaching moment. We watched the scooping motions from all of the swimmers then copied the movements ourselves. Later that day we went to the pool and this video features our little 'scooper' in action. Let's cross our fingers she carries this on to her lesson next week.
