First Mother's Day

As my friend Nicole said, "I am now a member of the Mother's Club" and she is as well with her baby girl Gianna, Kensley's first friend. My 1st Mother's Day was a blast, one that I'll never forget. We decided to get in the car and drive towards the mountains with the intention of going to Lake Tahoe. We didn't have directions which may seem odd but to us it was more of an adventure. We reached the foothills and sure enough the signs said South Lake Tahoe or North Lake Tahoe, we chose North, and up we went on the winding two way road. The views were stunning as the elevation increased; white snow covered the rocks and grass beneath the trees lining the highway. I couldn't help but snap a few pictures along the way. We made a few more turns and found Incline Village where we decided to get out and walk around near the water. Unfortunately it was a bit too cold outside for Kensley so we walked only a few minutes, took a couple pictures, and then continued on our adventure. By then we were hungry and decided to try a restaurant called Caliente in King's Beach. We had no idea if the food was good but there were a few cars already in the parking lot so we gave it a shot. Luckily we did because the meal was delicious! After eating we continued our journey making a few more scenery stops along the way. For not having directions or knowing exactly where we were going I think our trip turned out to be pretty successful; a perfect Mother's Day!
